Electricity Supply Industry careers

Careers in this industry provide career pathway opportunities for formally recognised qualifications in ESI Generation from Certificate II to Diploma.
The Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) Generation sector covers traineeships for Power Station Operators in Certificate II & Certificate III in thermal and renewable energy. As well, apprenticeships in traditional trades of electrical, instrumentation and control, and mechanical.
Additional qualification pathways to Diploma are available in maintenance, operations, electrical electronic, systems operations offering those in the industry and those wishing to join the industry an array of long-term career opportunities in an exciting and rewarding engineering and energy-based industry.
Typical entry into the industry is via an apprenticeship, for a trade, or traineeship and in some cases a trade, for other occupations. Additional upskilling in vocational education and training programs are available to gain specific industry skill set credentials, or full qualifications at higher levels, which provide a career pathway to broader or higher more complex skills, competence and performance.
